🎃 Horror Movies to Watch This Halloween
By the CrowdFlix Team

Try to keep your eyes open…
There’s no better time than Halloween to revisit the films that crawl under your skin and stay there. Whether you crave psychological dread, mythic terror, or the beauty of a perfectly framed nightmare, our team at CrowdFlix has you covered.
LEADERSHIP PICKS:
OUR HORROR FAVORITES
To celebrate the season, our leadership team shared their personal Halloween movie moments:
Cam M — Co-Founder of CrowdFlix The Shining — Pure control. Madness built from geometry. Psycho — The greatest film that happens to be terrifying. Jaws — Fear unseen, the ocean as abyss. |
Kari — Co-Founder of CrowdFlix“It gets under your skin, then turns the blade from under the surface.” Audition Takashi Miike’s slow-burn horror masterpiece that redefines discomfort. What begins as a somber drama curdles into something unforgettable. It’s not just what you see — it’s what you feel long after it’s over. |
Brett — CrowdFlix Team The Collector (2009) - “Sure, a home invasion is scary, but imagine one that’s filled with traps galore and a ruthless villain who takes one (person) back with him to his lair. Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton’s The Collector still manages to thrill, and its sequel,The Collection, does the same. What was originally a Saw prequel turned out to become a franchise of its own (and both Dunstan and Melton ended up working on SAW IV-3D), and we can all be thankful for that.” V/H/S/2 - “If anthologies are your thing, then this one’s for you! The second film in the V/H/S series is my favorite because of the incredible talent that filmed segments for it, such as Adam Wingard (You’re Next, The Guest), Jason Eisener (Kids vs. Aliens), Jamie Nash (Last Night at Terrace Lanes), and Timo Tjahjanto (Nobody 2, May the Devil Take You). The four segments, including the incredible wraparound written by Simon Barrett, are incredible, and will make you wonder why they are not full-length films (except for the final segment, which turned into a full-length feature - Kids vs. Aliens). Get that VCR ready for this one!” |
Sophie — CrowdFlix Team Sophie’s list blends psychological thrillers with conceptual dread — horror that makes you think, then keeps you up at night. The Silence of the Lambs — A masterpiece of intellect and evil. The fear isn’t in the monster — it’s in how human he feels. The Menu — A darkly comedic dissection of obsession, class, and control. Horror with taste. Alien — Still unmatched in atmosphere — the perfect blend of isolation, fear, and survival. A Quiet Place — Proof that silence can scream louder than any jump scare. Get Out — Brilliantly layered, hauntingly real, and socially sharp — a modern essential. |
