“For my back-to-school moment, it’s the dart-in-the-neck scene. It brings me right back to my college rowing days—two-a-days, heavy class loads, stumbling around like Frank the Tank after that dart.”

Brett — Summer School (1987)

 “As a former schoolteacher, one of my favorite back-to-school films is Summer School. While technically a summer film, it perfectly captures what real teaching is about: engaging students in ways that matter to them. It’s fun, heartfelt, and even has horror-loving students who steal the show.”

UPCOMING OCTOBER 2025 RELEASES

October 3 — The Smashing Machine
Dwayne Johnson takes a career-defining dramatic turn as MMA legend Mark Kerr. Directed by Benny Safdie, this biopic promises grit, power, and a raw look into the battles fought inside and outside the cage.

October 10 — Tron: Ares

October 10 — Tron: Ares
It’s been over a decade since we last entered the grid, and anticipation for Tron: Ares has been steadily building.
